Using colour portraits in identifying the quark antiquark pairs in heavy boson decays

چکیده
In searching for new heavy particle states and in studying properties of W pairs the colour ow between primary partons should provide an e cient tool in identify ing the correct quark antiquark pairs and in rejecting the background events This approach is tested in a Monte Carlo based analysis of e e W W H H h A and h Z events with four quarks The colour portrait is shown to provide useful complementary information to conventional methods in LEP physics anal ysis Paper submitted to the ICHEP Conference Vancouver July Helsinki Institute of Physics Helsinki Finland
